File converters
Convert Markdown, HTML, Jupyter notebooks, and supported document formats. For the primary PDF and Word workflows:
- PDF to Markdown (opens in a new tab) extracts editable text from text-based PDFs. It does not run OCR, and fixed-layout tables, lists, and code may need cleanup.
- Word to Markdown (opens in a new tab) works best with semantic DOCX headings, lists, links, and simple tables.
- Markdown to PDF (opens in a new tab) renders standard Markdown headings, lists, code blocks, tables, links, and supported images as a printable PDF.
- Markdown to Word (opens in a new tab) creates an editable DOCX for review in Word or another compatible editor.
The catalog also includes Markdown to HTML, EPUB, ODT, RTF, PPTX, and other Pandoc-backed formats; HTML to Markdown; and Jupyter Notebook to or from Markdown.
Server conversions have a limited Free allowance and broader paid access. Uploaded conversion files and results are automatically deleted after 30 days. Each tool page explains format-specific limitations and shows login or plan requirements before processing. See Plans & limits.
Generators
